I really should be better at writing down the fun things my piano students say. They really are so funny. Well today we had group lessons. It's where a group of students come together at the same time. They practice playing for each other, we play fun games and have pizza and treats.
So starting with this group lesson I decided to add a little segment on composers. You know, teach them a little something about music history. Today I started with Mozart. At the end of my 4 - 6 year old group I asked, "So does anyone remember what composer we learned about today?" A lot of "ummmmms" were going on, then one of my 6 year olds shouts, "Motard!"
I teach them well.
Surprisingly eight 4 - 6 year olds are much easier than nine 8 - 10 year olds.
Lol, that's great:-)
ReplyDeleteI can not believe you still had your group lesson in the flood today!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHow is B liking that bean bag?
Motard...I can't handle it.
1. I love Motard.
ReplyDelete2. Is it true Motard wrote Twinkle Twinkle? That is what Olive believes to be true.
3. Thank you for yesterday. Olive keeps talking about how much fun "Jodee's pizza party" was.
Well Shawna, Mozart wrote 12 variations of Twinkle, but I'm not 100% sure if he or who came up with the original melody.
ReplyDeleteMotard!! Oh my, that is funny. I, too, wish I had written down all the funny things my students have said over the years - it's too late for me - but you should start!!
