Outside Happenings
We have really loved our new neighborhood! We love riding scooters and bikes with the neighborhood kids and just hanging outside now that we have a yard and such. Brighton and Boston have both learned lots of new things the last few months. Both learned how to ride scooters, Brighton took off her training wheels, and Boston learned to pedal!
Brighton was so cute helping Boston. She would clap and yell, "Boston! You're doing it!"
Brighton was a little reluctant to try, but in just a couple of minutes was cruising around no problem!
Boston already has a trick she does on her scooter. She holds a leg up for a sec and then jumps off. Cracks me up.

Heritage Park
We kicked off our first day of summer with a morning at Heritage Park. It's probably the closest park to us, but we haven't been there much. It's not for tiny tots, so now that the girls are big enough, and after our super fun 2 hour exploration today, we'll be going back lots!
It still melts my heart when I see Boston copying Brighton.

Tot Lot: The End
Tot Lot came to an end last week. I have mixed emotions. Happy not to have to drive there everyday. Very happy not to have to work another Wednesday. Not happy that I don't have the option to pawn off my kids 3 days a week. It was really nice the last couple of weeks because Boston was able to go without me needing to stay. (They have to be 2). But I'm excited to start a new daily routine and have some fun Summer adventures.
Here is Brighton on her first and last days of Tot Lot. I think the tank top she wore on her first day got handed down to Boston and I'm sure ruined in the first wear. But you can see how tall she's gotten with how short her shorts are!

Seriously
This "seriously" post is brought to you by Brighton and Boston.
Me: "Boston, what color is your hair?" Boston: "PINK!" Well, I guess that's pretty close.
As we were eating lunch at Cafe Rio, as we do quite often, Brighton, at the top of her lungs yells, "I love you Cafe Rio!"
Brighton: "Boston, you be the confidence, I'll be the teacher". Then proceeds to sing a song. I finally realized she meant audience.
Brighton in her most serious/mad/threatening tone:
"Mom. If you make me staticky I'm going to have to smack you in the face and put you in time out." Staticky? Still not sure what she meant.
"Mom! You're kidding me!" - She says this to me quite often.
"Mom. If you put my princess dress on I'm going to pee in it."
And last...
Boston insists on pretending to go potty at least 5 times a day. See this post. She's been doing this for the last 6 months! I keep telling myself that one day she'll just start actually peeing, and then she'll be magically potty trained and we'll never have accidents because she had so much pretend practice. Right, right? So the other day after a pretend potty sesh I didn't put her diaper right back on.... Within 2 minutes she had peed on the kitchen floor. And then slipped and fell in it.
More seriously moments here.

Fashion Photo Shoot
When did she turn 15? I just wanted to take a couple of quick pics, but she just kept posing and posing and posing!
And then she turned back into a 3 year old. Love this girl!!

Tot Lot: Tanaka Farms
For our excursion this month we went to Tanaka Farms. I've always wanted to go, and have heard great things, but we had never been.
What a cool place! They pulled us in a trailer behind a tractor around the farm. Our tour guide was great, and the girls loved to see all of the different types of fruits and vegetables growing. They stopped periodically and passed around different things that are in season. We got fresh carrots, celery, cilantro, and green onions to taste and take home.
They ended the tour at the strawberry patches where the kids got to get out and fill their own carton plus eat all they wanted. Tanaka grows everything organic, so it's safe to just pick and eat. And boy did Boston eat.
It was extra fun, because these fun friends got to join us as guests.
Please notice Boston's hands and face. She got her grub on.
Oh Brighton.
We can't wait to go back in the Fall for pumpkins!

The In Betweens
I think I've posted about all of the major things we've done the last few months. But I've taken a thousand and one other random pictures. So here are some of the "in betweens" of March and April.
1. Brighton loves to swing super high. Check out the envious 6 year old next to her pissed his mom has to push him.
2. Boston's face is priceless. Just some "ring around the rosies" gone bad.
3. Oh ya, I did have a birthday! 29, woot, woot! I'm stoked to be almost 30. Stacy, Amy and I grabbed some sushi before screening The Hunger Games.
4. Give my girls some change and a piggie bank and they will be occupied for a good hour.
5 & 6. B&B's favorite at home activity is hiding. They are constantly running and hiding under the table, piano, or under a blanket.
7. Brighton getting to steer the car into the driveway. What a nice daddy.
8. Boston loves bikes but doesn't know how to pedal. Therefor she will sit on a tricycle, not moving for like 15 minutes. It cracks me up.
9. Just to prove how awesome Braden is for folding the clothes. Here is one weeks worth of laundry, freshly dumped onto the couch for folding.
10. Yes, I did get another maxi dress, and another pair of braided sandals. Absolutely love them.
11. When Boston wakes up from her nap, the first person she wants to see is Brighton. Brighton is always happy to see her and says in the sweetest voice, "Hi sweetie!"
12 - 15. Pump It Up is one of the greatest places ever. Both girls are completely independent, and especially love the big slide. Boston is always the youngest kid sliding down. And I just get to take pictures and sit and watch.
16. Can you handle how sweaty Boston is? Poor girl. I had her in long sleeves because I thought it would be freezing since it had been raining.
17 - 20. Stacy let us take home these umbrellas from her garage sale last week. They sold a bunch of her grandmas stuff, and these gems were in the loot. I really should pay her, because we have had hours of fun with them.
