1 Year

The Bug is now a year old. Of course, I can't beleive it. Of course, it went by way too fast.  We celebrated her actual birthday while just us girls were in Utah for Morgan's graduation. Boston had the best birthday cake feast ever.

Ta Da!

Grandpa threatening to just hose her off ;)

My cute grandparents.  Grandma Fenn is where Boston gets her red hair from. She's gone more blonde in the last few years. But trust me, she is a true red head.

Stacy, Morgan, Mike, Sundee.... and Brighton.

Boston also had a BLAST at the new aquatic center in Cedar.

But didn't enjoy the quad riding with Grandpa :(

We had a birthday party in CA a week later with family and friends.  I got approval from the marketing department for the LB Town Center to hang up decorations. It was the perfect place to have a party for her. She loves to play in the water, and it was great weather and just really casual.

Some things about baby Boston:

She is so so active. She loves the playground and is by far braver than her sister.

The more red her hair gets the more fiesty her personality gets.

She has 7 teeth. Still waiting for the 4th bottom one to come through.

She l-o-v-e-s her bottle, which makes me think I should probably ditch it now rather than letting her get more and more attached.

She is kind of a picky eater. She will act like she likes something for a few bites then starts spitting out and shivering like it's disgusting. She prefers sweets and dairy.  (yogurt, cheese, fruit, etc.) She still hates bread.

Absolutely loves her sister.

Loves to chase around and wrestle.

She is a strong one. She slapped me in the eye one time, and everything went white for a second.

Would rather be wandering outside than anything else.

She'll watch a move while in the car, but could care less about it in the house.

It's like going around with a celebrity with all the people we get talking to us about her red hair.

She gives the cheesiest grins.

She tries to jump, which is so darn cute.

She finally is sleeping all night consistently and still takes 2 naps.

Her favorite songs are Itsy Bitsy Spider and Wheels on the Bus.

She can say: hi, eyes, dada, baba (for bottle) and that's about it.  Even those aren't super consistent.  Well, dada is, but none of the others.  She is just much more interested into physical things. And she can sign "more" really well.

She blows kisses and waves at everyone.

She will only give me kisses, and only if she's deliriously tired. She'll lay on my chest and then pop up and give me a kiss and then lay her head back down. Precious.

She still loves to scream. So loud and so annoying.

I love having two girls and watching their bond grow. They love to give each other kisses and just hug all over each other. It melts my heart every time.

I just love my pumpkin, and love to kiss, love and play with her. Happy Birthday Boston! We all love you so much!

Lots of Stuff

The last couple of months...

In March I participated in Little Penelope Lanes semi-annual boutique and sold my family recipe "green sauce" (avocado sauce) and enchilada sauce. I also made gift card holders and decided to just sell both at one table. Kind of random. I did better than I thought I would, and had a ton of fun doing it!

We did some hang time with friends. Amy ran into get our lunch, and I let the girls watch a movie in the back seat while we waited. They both had to have their seat belts on, and they thought it was awesome.

We also hit up Pretend City for Amy and Audrey's "last day". It was a lot of fun, especially carpooling together :)

Of course we've been to Disneyland a few times. Brighton talks non stop about Small World and Pirates. "Pirates isn't scary..."

We've been going for lots of walks. Brighton's new favorite thing is to push Bossy in the umbrella stroller. Boston refuses to sit forward and is always trying to stand or twist around to look at her sister.

Brighton is getting more and more girlie. She loves princess dresses, sunglasses, shoes, her nails painted, lip gloss, and if I let her, she would wear mascara.

Last week was really warm so we took advantage and hit up the beach, splash pad, and our lady bug sand box turned swimming pool.

Since Boston is always a fountain of slobber and/or snot, her face was covered in sand at all times. I didn't even bother trying to keep it off.

Brighton lost her footing while out in the water and couldn't get her balance. So I ran out and "saved" her. When we got out of the water she said over and over, "I went too far, I went too far". Now she says, "I go too far, and mommy saves me!" Hopefully she doesn't think she can just run out in the ocean and I'll always save her. I've tried to get that across to her several times just in case.

Boston LOVED the splash pad. She sat in her little squat position most of the time, then would stand up and squeal really loud and then go back to her squat. It was cracking me up.

Look at those chubby legs! I just love it!!!

Our apartment complex pool... I'm thinking of having a pool party. Who's in? ;)

And nothing better than some frozen yogurt on a hot day.

And last, Boston took her first couple of steps this last Sunday. She is desperately trying to walk, but can only do 3 or 4 little steps.
