Beach Day: San Onofre

We met up with some family down at San Onofre this past Friday. They were camping for the weekend, so we drove down to play for the afternoon.  It was pretty darn cold and overcast which was a bummer, but it kept my fair baby from getting too much sun. Funny note: Until pretty recently I thought it was Santa Nofre, not San Onofre.

As a rookie beach camper, I only packed one change of clothes. Since it was pretty much freezing at 4pm, I changed the girls into their clothes and then instructed them to keep them clean. Feel free to laugh out loud. We were all so disgusting by the time we got in the van to go home.  Even Boston was saying, "Eeeew, disgusting!" (That's her new, cute word that she's been saying.)

Sponge curlers all night = Beach waves by the end of the day.

Waiting for a wave...

And...running for our life.

Boston played with toy boats in this little pool for the longest time.

Just staying clean!

The girls had a blast though, cold and all. It was the most quiet time I've had in a long time! All the sand (in every crevice) was totally worth it.

  1. Looks like fun! I swear I 'm always freezing at the beach. I know I say this all the time but Boston's hair is amazing. It looks photoshopped!
