Another sad day at this house. Just kidding. Our little "B" is 7 months today. I feel like she is too small to be 7 months. Maybe she'll be a petite girl after all ;)
Some fun things, and a few not so fun things:
- Can clap on her own.
- Plays "Where's Brighton" hiding herself with her bib or a toy.
- Loves solids. Apricots, pears, peaches, peas, green beans, sweet potatoes, oatmeal with cinnamon, apples, mangos, squash, prunes, avocado, oranges, bread.... you name it, she'll eat it.
- Has 2 teeth.
- Sits up very well.
- Doesn't get the sippy cup yet. We're working on it, and she sure loves to hold and chew on it.
- Can pick up puffs with her thumb and finger pretty good, and is always trying to pinch things.
- Pushes her upper body up while on tummy.
- Scoots backwards a little bit.
- Still doesn't roll.
- Favorite toys:
- Ring Tower
- Mirrors. Loves, loves the mirror.
- Ring Rattle With Ball
- Butterfly Rattle
- Anything that is not a baby toy.
- Is a talker like her mom. She says "baba", "dada" and a lot of random sounds. Still no "mama" though.
- Sings when she hears other people singing.
- Loves to flirt with anyone who walks by.
- Enjoys high chairs and being out and about.
- Loves daddy time and still chatters away with him.
- Started copying sounds we make.
- Pulls her headbands off :( but I'm teaching her to know better.
- Isn't napping well (again) which is resulting in not sleeping through the night (again)... or vice versa, you pick.
- Is a "parents" girl, which is nice. The only time she really wants me is if she is hungry.
- Bedtime is 7:30.

- Is getting more hair.
- Chews on her thumb or sucks her lips in.
I had to post two shots. It's not often you see her with her mouth closed!- We don't have any new nicknames this go around. Most used this month was "sister".
This month has been a lot of fun. We're in a good spot right now as she can entertain herself with toys, but doesn't move :) I'm looking forward to taking her to the beach with this warm weather, and spending more time outdoors. Although she cries whenever I leave the room, and is truly a drama queen, we love every inch of our sweet (semi-cuddly) girl.

ReplyDeleteMailee completely skipped the whole rolling thing...I think she only ever rolled over maybe once or twice...Which was fine with me cause I like it when they just stay put...it's when they start scooting and crawling and rolling and walking when things get a bit crazy!
I just want to squeeze her! I can't wait to see her again (and you and Braden too, of course)!
ReplyDeleteShe is such a doll Jodee!! She has SO much personality! I hope I get to see you guys again soon. I can't believe she claps and hides her own face!! I try to get Jackson to clap and he looks at me like "Are you kidding Mom?". Brighton is so cute. You're such a good mom!
