I've noticed something about myself that was first subconscious, and now I've realized why I do it. While blog surfing I notice I read some posts and not others, some are long, some are short, some with pictures, some without. I find myself thinking, "Oh, I'll come back and read that one later." and never realized why.

I guess it's not "friendly" to my eyes or something. I have the hardest time with it. I've started making myself read them, because seriously, how lame is that?
So for those of you that center everything, keep on doing it. It's free therapy for me.

I am glad I am not the only with OCD when it comes to blogs. My big thing is SPELLING! I can't stand when people spell things wrong. I try to read my posts before I post them and check for spelling errors. I always think, "You on the computer. Go to the online dictionary and look up the word." Maybe that is more mean than OCD. Biggest pet peeve: the wrong form of their, there and they're. Don't even get me started! What can I say? I am an English teacher! Thanks for letting me vent!
ReplyDeleteI just love reading your blog entries because it's like there's a little bonus at the end when I get to your tag. They always make me smile! As far as OCD goes, I'm with the person who commented before me. Spelling and grammar errors kill me!
ReplyDeleteWhen people have black backgrounds and white writing on their blogs. As soon as I'm done reading I see spots for like 10 minutes. It makes me seriously dizzy.

Same here. And when people don't break things up into paragraphs-I start to read it and then have a mental "ah screw it" moment and move on. Haha.

ReplyDeleteLOL! I center everything. I looked over my whole blog and it's all centered! So then I checked yours and all of yours are shifted to the left! LOL.. so funny (I never noticed that)!
ReplyDeleteBut I do always put pictures in my post. Blogs without pictures are "hard to read" and are sometimes booooring!
You guys have already noted all my pet-peeves, but you forgot people who don't capitalize their "I". That bothers me too!
