Mom's Day 09

Mothers Day started off with Brighton sleeping in until 8:49...which was awesome, except for the fact that it only gave me 10 minutes to throw on a jean skirt, shirt and flip flops (sorry, I know it's so inappropriate). I made it just in time for the sacrament hymn. We had a wonderful sacrament meeting, followed by a delicious brunch in the cultural hall thanks to Brother Peckham. (Complete with a chocolate fountain) YUM. Also complete with me realizing my zipper was down on my jean skirt while waiting in line to get some of the delicious grub. Sorry to any of you 10th ward-ers if you got a little peep show. Good thing I don't get too embarrassed.

I love being this girls momma

After church I put my sweet Brighton down for a nap, and took a nap myself :). Bright and I then took a nice drive around Belmont Shore with the windows down. I love to take drives, and she was an angel the whole time. Braden had to work until 2, so once he got home, we headed over to his mom's for dinner. Brett made some of the best steak I've ever had. Thanks Brett! We opened cards, and it was a nice treat to get beautiful flowers from Marly and Aunt Bonnie and of course gorgeous flowers from Braden. He didn't think Brighton would understand why I was getting a present and she wasn't, so he surprised her with a Barbie Balloon that supposedly lasts over a month. She was/is in heaven. Thanks babe! Linda also gave me a fun collection of Bath & Body Works soap, lotion and mini hand sanitizers.

Another blogger mystery...

The night ended with Justin & Stacy stopping by for a quick chat, and giving me a thoughtful card and rose :). So sweet.

Off to bed we went. About 2am we awake to the creepiest sound... I go into Brighton's room, and find her awake staring wide eyed at this:

CREEPY. Why that music is on a baby mobile, I'll never know.
