Long Beach Half Marathon

It's finally over.

Thank goodness.

I am very glad I did it.

I will most likely never do it again.

I learned that I really don't like running with a lot of people.

I learned that many many people ran the FULL marathon faster than I did the half.

I learned that you can actually run the half marathon in just over 1 hour.

I hurt my knee about 1/2 way through. (of all things to go wrong!)

I am sore today, but not nearly as sore as I thought I'd be.

My finish time was 3 hours and 1 minute.

I'd like to stick with a 5K if I ever sign up for a race again.

Big thanks to my hubby for coming and supporting me. It was really nice that he was able to ride his beach cruiser by me for the last 3 miles.

Big thanks to Justin for driving us down there so we didn't have to park.

Big thanks to Catherine for coming over and babysitting Brighton.

Big thanks to all of you that gave words of encouragement.

Huge thanks to Stacy for roping me into this, and keeping me going.

  9. I did a 5K when I was 9 weeks and that was bad enough. I can't imagine doing a 1/2 marathon. I love your shirts. Stacy told me that people kept running next to her to take a peak at her tummy. Too funny! Next year we will have to do it with our jogging strollers. Only 4 1/2 more weeks for me!!! I can't wait to run again.
