Christmas 2009

Wow what a few weeks it has been! Let's go back a few and catch up, shall we?

The weekend before Christmas we attended our ward Christmas party where Brighton got to sit on Santa's lap. I thought she would cry and scream for sure, but she actually told me no when I reached to get her down.

Christmas best for Christmas Sunday :)

Then on Monday it was off to Utah.

We enjoyed lots of good food, good chats, a fun girls day out complete with shopping of course, beautiful scenery, game playing and so much more!

We are a family of awesome bowlers... Just look at my form!

And musicians...

B could NOT get enough of being outside, no matter how cold. But with beautiful scenery like that, it made it a lot better :) (My grandparents have a view of Kolob from their front room. So pretty)

We spent Christmas Eve out in New Harmony at my Grandparents where we partook in the usual buffet of delicious foods. Brighton loves Guacamole like no other, and it makes me so proud.
Christmas morning was at my parents where we ate some more (homemade cinnamon rolls, bacon, sausage, hot chocolate and orange juice). Then opened stockings, and on to presents.

From top left (some highlights of present opening): I scored me a much wanted Kitchen Aid with an awesome dicer/shredder attachment. Dad got various gear for his camera that none of us had a clue about (even though we bought it), Mom enjoying her See's, Brighton loved her newest blanket addition, Tiara's big gift was a new bike, Morgan made out with some super cute clothes, My parents got a blu-ray player... doesn't my mom look confused at the new technology already? My mom and sis wrapped up some thong underwear and put it under the tree from Braden to me. They sure thought they could embarrass me! Not a chance! And last, my mom crocheted Brighton an exact replica of a doll I had when I was a little girl. *tear*. It was a great Christmas :)

Enjoying new gifts, and several ping pong tournaments.

Brighton also turned 16 months on Christmas day, and I don't think there is enough room in this post to list all of the new fun things I love about that girl. Happy 16 months B! Sorry I didn't get you your own post this time :(

We were also there for new years, but I don't have a single picture! We headed back on January 4th, bringing with us the most horrible stomach flu ever. I swear I'm not going to be able to go back to Cedar if I keep contracting these awful viruses! (Just kidding mom). So now that we are home, mostly unpacked, healthy, and every toy, book, cranny and crevice has been disinfected we are looking forward to an awesome two thousand and ten!
