"Talking"
Waking up from a nap.
The bug is 2 months old now! It seems so soon, yet so long all at the same time. I know I'm biased, but I have to say she is one gorgeous little gal. Her hair is definitely looking more and more red, which makes her look more and more like a "Boston" for some reason. Maybe because you think of Red Sox? I don't know.
Some things about Miss Bos:
She is the squirmiest baby I've ever held, and I have to say it drives me bonkers sometimes. I'm always telling her, "Just relax!"
She doesn't like to lay on my chest. She definitely prefers to be on her back.
She is a crazy nurser. I think mostly because she gets so many air bubbles somehow. She will burp so loud after every feeding, spit up, burp some more, spit up some more... it's never ending.
As of today she has not had a diaper blow out. *fingers crossed*
She is still wearing newborn and 0-3 month clothes and size 1 diapers.
She holds her head up well, and rarely lays her head on my shoulder when burping. She is always trying to look around. And like Brighton, she is always moving.
She just started focusing on objects more and really looking at me when I talk to her. She smiles super big when I go to pick her up when she wakes up.
She coos just a tiny bit... but it always looks like she's desperately trying to say something but nothing will come out.
I don't think she likes how loud Brighton is. It seems to overwhelm her at times.
She's been pretty consistent with doing a 5-6 hour stretch at night the last couple of weeks. And she naps a lot better than Brighton did, but still has her days where she just won't sleep very long for some reason. BUT when she's awake, she's generally just chillin', so I can't complain.
She loves to be outside and have the wind and sun on her face.
Nicknames: Bug and Bos.
No 2 month stats yet... but hopefully first of next week.
I also want to document that from the first day I laid eyes on her I've always felt that she is going to be a very sweet girl. I think she'll be the peacemaker and maybe even be a tad quiet and/or shy. Just my thoughts :)
Being a mother of 2 hasn't been as traumatic as I thought. We definitely have our rough days, but I expected much worse, so that I am thankful.

ReplyDeleteI feel like she should be older, like you had her awhile ago. Which I think is why I was so surprised how small she was when I saw her on Saturday.

I looked at these pictures with Audrey and she pointed to the picture of Boston in her tutu onesie and said "princess baby". I love that onesie! Such a little cutie!
