Quick Trip

Last weekend just us girls made a trip to Cedar City for a little vacation. LUCKILY, and I mean LUCKILY, my good high school friend Colleen lives in San Diego and was planning on going to CC the same weekend, so we carpooled :)

I kept Brighton up until 10pm Wednesday night thinking that surely she would be so tired when we left at 5am the next morning she would fall back asleep in the car. I reclined her seat as far as I could, had everything packed, car pulled up, heater turned on, milk and a blankie ready, and put her in her seat. She sat there for about 15 minutes starring before she... started talking. The silly girl stayed awake until St. George. (45 minutes from our destination) She just doesn't sleep in the car!

Other than her being pretty ornery on and off, it was a fun ride up. Colleen was the biggest help, and I must thank her blog-licly (aka publicly) THANK YOU COLLEEN! I HOPE YOU ARE NOT SCARRED FOR LIFE.

We spent a couple of days hanging out with the fam, enjoying the beautiful summer weather.

We played on swings at Discovery Park.

Got shaved ice from one of the local sno shacks.

Pink Lemon Sour with a little Guava for me.

Pina Colada for B.

Went swimming at the college pool. - No pictures :(

Slept through the night (10 - 7) for the first time.

Ate yummy food.

Took some great pictures.
Dad, you posed like that on purpose, so I feel it fair to post it.

Adam, you can't help the lazy eye... it's hereditary or something. We all do it...Even Brighton got it. (I'm going to do a whole post on it one day)

Played on the tramp... that we've had since like 1986 just so you know...

I have the cutest video of B jumping, but blogger keeps failing to load it!!! ARGH!

and did a LOT of talking and relaxing. It was quite nice.

Then we headed back Sunday morning. Brighton stayed awake until we got to Corona around 6pm. She's crazy.

Boston did really well there and back. We stopped to nurse twice each way, and she was really minimally fussy for how long we were in the car. Thanks Bos.

I love Cedar in the summer, so beautiful!

(Up next to post: Things I love about Cedar.)

PS. Do they let 2 year olds fly alone?

  1. Fun! I love the picture of Brighton on the swing.
And just so you know, I have yet to be able to successfully upload a video on blogger. I was beginning to think there was some special trick to it that I didn't know about. They should really do something about that!

  2. Hey I keep meaning to ask you were you got the bean bag thing that the girls sleep on? Both my kids had reflux and that would be perfect to prop them up(and I am assuming the twins will to).

  3. Looks like you had fun. I wish I could've seen you but I totally understand how that goes. Don't you love the tiki shack snow cone? They are like the best ever.
