Animal Safari Park

In October we took a mini vacation down to the San Diego Animal Safari Park. I think this was our first family vacation that wasn't to Utah! We went down Sunday night and stayed in a Marriott about 15 minutes away from the park. We had a fun family evening out to dinner and then let the girls swim a little in the hot tub. We topped the night off with popcorn in front of the fireplace in our room. :)

Monday we got to the park around 10am and really enjoyed our day! It's smaller than the Zoo, so much less walking, and there are a lot of shows, splash pad areas and little parks all over. We went to the bird show and also had a great view for the cheetah run. The girls talked about Cheetahs for days. Our tickets included the Safari Tram. So we took that around to see a lot of the animals. It took about 30 minutes and that was plenty long for my girlies. I think Brighton was playing games on Braden's phone by the end.









 
I did my best waddling around the park, and tried to take it easy (remember the crazy pain I have?) but it was still too much and I ended up having Braden pull over on the side of I-5 so I could hurl on the way home. Fun times.

No, but really, it was a lot of fun and I'm glad we went!
