First, it was one of the scariest days of my life. I had to teach Relief Society for the first time! Eeek! Seriously though, I was beyond nervous. Not to mention since it was Mother's Day every women was in there! But it went well, and I felt great afterwards!
Our ward gave out See's, a rose and the primary kids came home with these "Please Do Not Disturb" signs. So perfect. My amazing husband gave me the most beautiful flowers and a bluetooth speaker for my phone :)
After church we left for San Diego and ate at a super fun diner where I drank the best Roy Rogers ever and the kids got to play arcade games and got balloon animals.
After checking into our hotel, we headed around the corner to the San Diego temple. Braden and I were married there almost 9 years ago, and this was the first time we'd been back! Just as beautiful.(and my DSLR camera battery was dead.)
The next day we went to SeaWorld. Yaaay!
It was seriously the best day. Perfect weather, no crowds. Funnest day. But apparently I had too much fun and didn't take pictures of all the fun shows! We hit up the Sea Lion show (our favorite), the Dolphin show, and the Pet show.
I love these pictures I did get of Brighton and Boston on one of the spinny-rides.
The girls wanted to climb up this big net maze. I totally let them go alone, and lost track of them!!! Scariest few minutes! I knew it only came out at one point, but I had no idea where that was for a minute. I found the exit right as Boston appeared. I was so proud of them for getting through the whole thing without help!
I would have to say Boston's favorite thing was the Penguin exhibit. She was enthralled.
I love Boston's left hand in this picture. So excited!
But the most impressive thing of the day was the fact that Brighton asked to go on this roller coaster! And she did it twice!!! So not like her. Boston was so sad she wasn't tall enough.
The girls passed out hard back at the hotel, and the hubs and I got some Islands to go and enjoyed a quiet dinner.
Oh and Berkeley was there too and of course she was the B-E-S-T baby. Look at that cute face in the background!
On the way home we stopped in Laguna and played for a bit. Again, such a beautiful day and the best way to end the perfect trip!
It was so fun, we've decided to do a repeat in a few weeks :)

Wow! An actual blog post!! What a great trip and what great pictures!! I'm glad you're going to do it again.
ReplyDeleteWe are probably going to go to Sea World next summer. Did you rent a beach house instead of doing a hotel room?
ReplyDeleteNo, we just stayed in a suite at a Marriott in La Jolla. We stopped in Laguna Beach on the way home.
