10 weeks...
Well the 20 week marker really isn't until Thursday, but I am a little anxious!
I'm scared for my next doctor appointment because I know I've gained at least 6 or 7 lbs this go around. I'm sure some of you say that is nothing, and others think I must be eating everything in site.... which I am :) I feel just fine about it because this will be my first weight gain so far! Not trying to brag, I'm sure I'll catch up quickly enough...
This little girl is moving more and more everyday! She seems to be on a schedule though, so we hope that sticks around out of the womb :)
I have a follow up ultra-sound on Tuesday (8th) because she was positioned weird, and they couldn't get a good look at her heart, and other major organs. My Doctor did say that the Radiologist thinks her kidneys look "prominent" which has had me in a total frenzy all week. So now I'm going to a Parenatologist so they can get a better look. My OB said the radiologist that I went to, tends to over-call things, and told me not to worry... but still!!! Did you get any scares like this???
Okay, enough rambling! 'till next time...
Jodee,
ReplyDeleteYou look fabulous for 20 weeks! I was huge by that point. You're a beautiful lady and your kiddos will be too! Don't stress about the ultrasound tech. Sometimes I think they just get bored :)Congrats on having a girl. They are so much fun to dress-up. Hey while I'm here have anything you'd like me to add to the newsletter this month?
Here are the captions for my body with your pictures:
ReplyDelete10 weeks - me in high school (still have that weight on my driver's license... never changing it)
15 weeks - me after the Freshmen 15
20 weeks - me before getting pregnant this time.
p.s. I can gain 6-7 pounds in my sleep.
aka... you look great and are doing awesome. Can't wait to see how different it is for number 2, because let me tell you....
You look great. Think I ate everything in sight(wait, I don't think, I know...)
ReplyDeleteI think I went to McD's one day and got McChicken, Big Mac and a order of fries.. Ate it all.
Everytime I got on the scale, I would be like this is the most I have every weighed.
I wouldn't stress about the tech. They got me all worried about me having a murmur.
Don't worry the pounds will start packing on when you hit the third trimester:)
ReplyDeleteI am with Ashley, wait until your second pregnancy. Yikes. I weigh exactly the same amount right now as I did when I delivered Natalie. And can we please not talk about the fact that I still have 10 weeks to go!
Also I can tell you have I have two friends who were told that their babies had enlarged kidneys in their ultrasound and both of their kids are perfectly fine. It's hard not to stress but I am sure everything will turn out:)
Hey Jodee,
ReplyDeleteI was doing a little blog-surfing and found you guys! You look GREAT!! And congrats on the baby girl!
When I was pregnant with Cadence I had somewhere between 15-20 ultrasounds because they keep seeing various stuff. They had me all worried and kept saying that my goal would be to last until 26 weeks.... they induced me at 37 and she was perfectly healthy. It's their job to worry and that's great, sometimes it would just be better if they kept it to themselves until they know for sure. We'll keep you in our prayers.
Congratulations again! You can check out our blog at www.veryparry.blogspot.com

I was told with Hudson there was an abnormality with his kidneys. they had a recheck 2 weeks later and things looked much better but still questionable. Another 10 days pass and the recheck showed everything was fine. Very stressful, yes but not uncommon to recheck. Think positive, it's the best way to have a healthy pregnancy.
ReplyDeleteNice pictures!
ReplyDeleteYou look so cute pregnant! I had a seizure at 15 weeks. The baby was fine but it sure gave my husband a scare!!
ReplyDeleteYou look cute! I just barely popped out this morning. It's weird how I didn't look very pregnant yesterday but today I do! Funny. You look so so cute though. Let us know what they say about her kidneys. I'm sure she's fine. I know how you feel though. I get so scared about every pain I feel or if he doesn't move for an hour.
