Food
I thought I was going to die when I was in labor... then I thought I was going to die when I had to push Brighton out naturally... then I was sure I was going to die when I first started breastfeeding, but so far I've made it. However, I am SURE I am going to die with my new diet. As mentioned before I have gone off of dairy in hopes to have a happier baby (which has worked fairly well so far), and now the doctor wants me to cut out all 'gassy' foods. "Keep your diet very bland" she said, "nothing spicy..." She said more things, but I tuned her out after spicy. If you know me at all, you know that I eat 'spicy' (Mexican) every chance I get so I was in total shock. Besides the fact that I LOVE food period. So... I am at a complete loss as to what I CAN eat.. I have absolute no appetite; probably because everything I think of I can't eat, or to me isn't worth eating. So help me please! Any ideas and/or recipes would be much appreciated. Also, good things to get at restaurants as well :)

oh man!!! no hot sauce????? i think i would die too, that's my natural prozac! become a red mango or pinkberry addict...what's around you, i forget! i've started a fruit and veggie diet and try to eat 5 small meals a day. i really love have lots of veggies around to eat, i forgot that i like them until i actually cut them up and keep them in the fridge to snack on. rice bowls are pretty bland too and very tasty! i don't wish i felt your pain, but hey you gave birth naturally you can do anything superwoman!
ReplyDeleteHey Jodee. I know how you feel. I am in major need of some taquitos and green sauce!!! My doc said the same thing. Very bland =( I eat a lot of chicken in different ways. I'm doing low carb so I'll eat chicken with gravy and veggies. Or pork chops with lemon and asparagus. I use season all on everything. At restaurants I eat breakfast like eggs and ham or a salad with chicken. I also make homemade chicken fingers with ranch or fry sauce. There's an awesome book called 6 ingredients or less that you can order off Amazon and I LOVE it! I hope it gets easier for you.
