As far as I go... The nausea is rough. It's much more unpredictable this pregnancy. With Brighton the same foods always sounded good, and as long as I stayed away from certain foods, and didn't wait too long between meals I didn't barf. With this pregnancy, nothing sounds good... ever, and even if it sounds and tastes good while I'm eating it, it still will come back up! Frustrating is what that is! I was sick until about 18 weeks with Brighton, so I'm just hoping for a shorter term this go 'round. I'm taking Unisom, but it's not working the same magic it did last time. I think the real cure with my first pregnancy, was that I could sleep in as long as I wanted. When I don't get enough sleep (and I'm talking like 10 hours), I'm MUCH more sick. But, Braden has been wonderful, and I think Brighton even knows something is up, and will come give me hugs and kisses. I'm just going to continue plugging along and hope I can start getting out more :)
Now back to my onion rings and ranch.
Yep, feeling sick often is the worst part of pregnancy I think! Hang in there though, hopefully things will be better for you this go-round.
ReplyDeleteI was a little teary eyed while reading this post! That ultrasound picture is amazing! I am so sorry about the nausea and the barfing. Has your doctor given you anything yet? Ask. If it's really bad, there are some things out there that are helpful. Hang in there, sister. I love that Brighton is giving you extra kisses. Can you believe she's going to be a big sister? Crazy!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have a few friends who are taking an anti-nausea pill. It's actually the same one they gave to my brother to keep him from throwing up after his jaw surgery. And it melts under your tongue so you don't have to swallow a big pill. Maybe ask about it next time.
ReplyDeleteAnd what an amazing ultrasound. Kinda makes me excited to THINK about having another. :)
Oh friend...I am loving your wee little one!!!!! Such great pics!
ReplyDeleteThose are such cool pictures! How exciting to be able to see it that good! Hope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteoh Jodee I hope you get feeling better!! there is nothing worst than pregnancy sickness!! That ultra sound is so neat...the technology now amazes me! Brighton is such a little cutie giving you loves!!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting for you!!!!!!! I am sorry that you are having a hard time. I had that with both kids BUT it does get better... :(
ReplyDeleteBIG HUGS!
It looks like a girl!
ReplyDeleteamazing! 200 days sounds right around the corner.....
ReplyDeleteI have been so much sicker with this pregnancy too. In fact I really wasn't sick at all with Hudson, with this one I've lost 17 pounds from barfing so much. Ask your doctor for Zofran. It's been the life-saving drug! It really makes a huge difference
