Happy Easter!

We had a great Easter!

It started off with an Easter Egg hunt. I hid the [empty] eggs the night before, and really thought she wouldn't care too much about it. Boy, was I wrong! The second she saw an egg, she was so excited! So we quickly got a bag out and started our hunt.

She then spent the next hour dumping out her bag and putting the eggs back in. Awesome fun.

Next came cinnamon rolls, hot chocolate and conference. The Peterson's came over for breakfast/conference, and we all had fun watching Brighton go through her goodies during the intermediate hymn.

After the morning session of conference we got down to business with her new toys. She especially loves the huge bubble wand I snagged at Wal-mart for $1.

Our little girl had so much fun playing and worked up quite the appetite. She ate 5 chicken nuggets, a piece of bread and part of a fruit cup for lunch!

After much needed naps for the whole family, we went over to the Nana and Grandpa's for a delicious Easter Dinner / April Birthday party. Soni and Catherine did an amazing job preparing most of the food, and everything was delicious! Nana of course gave the grand kids Easter Baskets too. And Brighton was stoked to have more eggs to take in and out of a basket. It's so nice that she doesn't care about the candy yet.

When we got home, Brighton was so wound up from all of the fun, but was out the second she was in her crib.

We hope everyone had a wonderful Easter too!

Just to reminisce... Where does the time go!? Easter 2009

  3. Such a cute post!!! And you totally stole my idea of posting the picture from last year too :) But you post first so you get credit. ha ha. I LOVE the picture with her duck. She has gotten so big! I swear she looks bigger and smarter every post. I copy you so much Jodee. I saw your video of her saying the letters with the blocks and I went out the next day and bought those exact blocks. And now Jackson is identifying letters and numbers too! I look at your blog not only to see your adorable girl but to also learn how to parent! LOL.
