try going to fabric barn on anaheim. they have it by the bolt for cheap, as well as on pre cut spools in a variety of widths. very convenient, and still cheap!
I made a tutu for Zoe and I used 4 yards and it was still not quite enough. She's much smaller than a crib! Super cute idea though... Make sure to post pictures when you get it all done!
