Princess Tea Party

My SIL Debi invited Brighton and me to a Princess Tea Party, put on my the choir at Norco High. They do it as a fundraiser every year, and it was s-u-p-e-r cute.

Brighton is in love with Cinderella at the moment, so I made her a puffy princess dress for the occasion. She was very excited all week, and even wanted her nails painted to match her dress.

Upon arrival, we waited in line to be seated and a prince came down the line giving all of the little princesses a fun stamp.

Each girl was escorted to their table by a character. We were seated by the Mad Hatter. He and Alice were are "waiters" for the event, and they were adorable (sorry no picture of course).

Before we even set foot in the building, Brighton got scared and plopped herself down in the door way. After coercing her to move inside, she then laid down in the middle of the floor.  Look familiar?

Once she realized we were going to sit at a table and eat, she was okay. All of the different characters walked around serving appetizers, giving out wands or picture frames to decorate, and talking to each little princess who came.

We were then served tea in real glass tea cups (definitely a highlight for Brighton, who loves her pretend teapot at home). Princess Cinderella quickly dismissed her herbal peppermint tea and asked it to be replaced with pink punch. But she had fun bobbing the teabag in her cup.

Then we enjoyed some performance from the cast of Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Enchanted, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan and Rapunzel.  Jasmine by far had the best solo voice. But they were all really cute and did a good job.  Aurora even taught us how to waltz.

Sandwiches were served on silver platters along with bunches of grapes. That was followed by platters of various super yummy desserts.

It was so fun to see all of the cute characters. I was really quite impressed with their costumes, and was bummed Brighton refused to take any pictures. I snuck this one in...

They had a real photographer there to take your picture with the character of your choice, face painting and princess paraphernalia to purchase.

We actually had to jet out before it was completely over, but I say it was worth every penny, especially to support a school musical program. All of the students earned every penny. Thanks for the invitation Debi! We had a great time :)
