This year, Braden had the opportunity to work on Thanksgiving which left us girls on our own.
We have sister missionaries in our ward, and I must say they are pretty awesome. They organized a Thankful Turkey Trot at Liberty Park for 7am. You were supposed to fill out a sheet with 10 things you were thankful for and pin it to your shirt for the trot. We made it around 7:15. Unfortunately the "babysitters" that we thought would be there weren't, so I didn't get to trot. The girls made it 4 laps around the track in the stroller before they were practically in tears to go play on the playground. So we played. They had a blast being the only kids there.
Picnic time!
It was such a cold, cloudy day we went back home just in time to meet daddy, who was able to stop by for a bit.
After making 2 fruit salads, a cake, whipping some cream and cleaning up the mess. We got dressed up and headed over to Nana and Grandpa's house for dinner.
My girls actually sat for a few pictures!
After dinner and hanging out with family for the evening. I put the girls to bed and met up with Amy to wait in line for Target's Black Friday sale. (Yes, Braden was home from work). We enjoyed chatting and trying not to freeze during our 3 hour wait. All so we could get like $20 worth of stuff. But we had a good time.
I'll end this post with Brighton's thankful list she made with me the other day.

ReplyDeleteOh, what a fun day! Wow am I glad I made the list!! Are you going to explain to Brighton that she shouldn't show her "clevage" during pictures?? Such cute, cute girls! We need more pictures WITH mommy - just overall.
ReplyDeleteI'm surprised I even made the list considering she won't have anything to do with me lately. It's like I have the plague!!!!
